Mark Tseng-Putterman is a historian of Asian American community politics, Cold War imperialism, and social movements.

His scholarship has been supported by the Mellon Foundation/American Council of Learned Societies, the Asian/Pacific/American Institute at New York University, and the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center. He earned his PhD in American Studies at Brown University in 2024.

In 2024-2025, he will be the Panda Express Postdoctoral Fellow in Asian American Studies at University of Pennsylvania.
