WRITING REFUGE

Lilly Nguyen is the owner of Writing Refuge. She is a writer, scholar, and editor. Nguyen earned her B.A. from UC Berkeley and my Ph.D. from UCLA where she trained in feminist science and technology studies. She writes on the topics of: race, place, and technology; knowledge and inheritance; motherhood and daughterhood; language and refugee life. Her writing has been published or is forthcoming in Tahoma Literary Review, The Southern Review, River Teeth, New Media and Society, The Journal of Asian American Studies, and other venues.

Her work has been recognized by awards from the Fulbright International Institute, the US National Science Foundation, TinHouse, PEN Emerging Writers Fellowship, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund.
