Alondra Nelson is President of the Social Science Research Council and Harold F. Linder Chair in the School of Social Science at the Institute of Advanced Study. A scholar of science, technology, and social inequality, her books include The Social Life of DNA: Race, Reparations, and Reconciliation after the Genome, Body and Soul: The Black Panther Party and the Fight Against Medical Discrimination, and Technicolor: Race, Technology, and Everyday Life. She is president-elect of the Society for Social Studies of Science and past-chair of the American Sociological Association Section on Science, Knowledge, and Technology.
